There are a vast number of ways you can work to improve the efficiency of your career advancement. Calvin, is one of our Leader’s and he often refer to the 5 on 5 method to graduate through our career path. Simply put, it is when you as an associate, sell and recruit 5 new Associates per week and train each of them to do the same. Notice, I wrote “SELL” first; this is pivotal as you move into Leadership. Do we recruit? Absolutely, this too is vital, and our Associates understands this extremely well.
- Mentoring & Coaching
Impactful networking amongst your team is critical: career progression can be improved upon through mentoring and coaching your “Associate Downline”. YOU as a mentor can help your team navigate through the challenges of selling and recruiting by hosting nightly zoom calls (minimum 3 nights/week), giving advice and guidance on certain aspects of our products, training your Managers to become Leaders, provide insights on the company’s entire compensation plan, managerial training and a whole host of additional elements too. Being a mentor can be a challenge, but it’s the secret ingredient for YOU as a Leader to build an active and high performing team. Also, this is why we as a Company strongly encourage mentoring by setting aside a special mentorship bonus (see details in the compensation plan located in your back office). Coaching is another way in which you can step-up your career progression game. Coaching and mentoring are often closely linked and sometimes confused. We define coaching as more formal and with a greater set structure, while professional mentoring is less formal and more flexible. Both the mentor and mentee should set the expectations and standards for their mentoring partnerships. Whereas, with coaching the coach sets the course, the standards, timings and expectations. Both can be a huge help in an effective career progression at Supercore International.
- Training & Development
Upskilling is often attributed to career progression and rightly so. ‘Training and development’ as a term covers a whole host of activities. However, by ‘training and development’ in this instance we are referring primarily to training with our compensation plan, product knowledge, and compliance. If there are certain areas in your role as a Qualified Associate through an Executive Director, that you feel are lacking or could be improved upon, then the best way to tackle these is with training. Traditionally, training is thought of as courses but there are lots of different ways to go about this. It could be done through shadowing a Leader in the Company who has experience and knowledge that you wish to develop. Or, it could be through e-tutorials through our online learning portals (see your backoffice). There are several options for training and development and they can all help with your progression in your career path. If you’re not sure exactly what you should be doing while training, ask and then the best person to speak with is your Team Leader, Manager, Field Manager or Senior Field Manager. If you do not have a direct manager, our in-house field service support team can assign a mentor to you that you feel comfortable with, and then learn from them.
- Simply Asking
Another great way in which you can advance in your career path is simply by asking. It sounds like an obvious (perhaps too much so) solution but asking is one of the most effective ways through our rank advancement. Speak with your Manager, your Team Leader and even your Director’s about how you can progress and develop highly efficient ways to grow your team. By asking about career progression, you are showing your Managers and those around you that you are keen to improvement, keen to develop and keen to building an active downline. A wise company will only further encourage career development and therefore career progression. Often, career development training programs are hidden away in non-direct selling companies, and only through asking can you learn about them and attend them. Here at Supercore International, we encourage your questions, no matter the question. So, asking is vitally important and highly recommended!
